What we do

Since its inception in 2001, Homes for Scotland has become a respected commentator on housing and planning matters, challenging policy and decision-makers on behalf of members and the many thousands of Scots looking for new homes.

This position has been achieved by:

  • working with government at all levels
  • leading debate on the issues that affect the delivery of much needed new homes
  • questioning policy and guidance where necessary
  • stimulating change in established practice

We seek and offer solutions, engage constructively with the industry's wide-ranging stakeholder groups and work with those who can make a real difference to ensure Scots have access to the wide range of quality housing options they deserve.
