Energy savings and efficiency

Helping to tackle fuel poverty and climate change, new homes in Scotland are built to some of the highest technical standards in Europe and are incredibly energy-efficient.  Latest regulations for the construction of new homes have also resulted in a 75% reduction in carbon emissions compared to 1990 levels.

Indeed, research by NHBC and Zero Carbon Hub has found families who live in new build homes could save more than £1,400 a year on their energy bills when compared to those in older homes.
