Planning Policy Committee

Our Planning Policy Committee co-ordinates responses to Government consultations on planning and related policy areas.

It takes an overview of planning across Scotland in order to identify best practice and provide an informed commentary to Government officials and Ministers on the issues which affect the industry.

Its responses are influential in changing national policy.

Examples include our response to the proposals to increase planning application fees, where Homes for Scotland successfully argued that an increase from less than £20,000 maximum to a maximum of £100,000 had no basis.

The PPC has also achieved significant improvements to Scottish Planning Policy.
