Design Awards 2006

The design of new development layouts returned as the theme for our annual Quality Awards in 2006.  Over 60 entries were submitted by member companies.  These were judged by :

Murray Tosh MSP and Deputy Presiding Officer, Scottish Parliament (Chairman)
Alan Denham - formerly Assistant Chief Planner, Scottish Executive
Graham U'ren - Director, RTPI Scotland
Mary Wrenn - Chief Executive, RIAS
Rob Joiner - Advisory Board member, Architecture+Design Scotland

The winners were announced at the Homes for Scotland Annual Lunch on Friday 19 May 2006 (see below for details).  Click here to read the judges' report.

Greenfield/Edge of Settlement
Stewart Milne Homes for The Drum, Bo’ness

A special award was also presented to Cadell2 at the request of the judges for remarkable levels of achievement and high standards in masterplanning at The Drum development in Bo'ness.
