Focusing on the themes of customers, people, partnership and design - areas which remain absolutely critical to the home building industry's success - a record number of 80 entries were received for our 2012 Homes for Scotland Awards. Two awards were attached to each of these themes, all of which were open to submissions from home builder (both private and RSL) and associate members. The winners were announced at our Annual Lunch & Awards on Friday 4 May which was attended by some 700 senior industry representatives and guests. In an exciting new twist which placed guests right at the very heart of proceedings, the audience used a special electronic voting system to decide on the winner of our Home Builder of the Year Award as well as giving their views on some key policy issues of importance to the industry.
