Following the publication of our 2011 Scottish Parliamentary Election Manifesto, Homes for Scotland challenged all the main political parties to support the home building industry to build more homes, create new jobs and tackle climate change more effectively.
This year's Homes for Scotland Quality Awards were aligned to these three key themes and attracted a total of 49 entries across 6 categories.
This focus enabled us to show what our industry is already achieving as well as illustrate the potential of what can be further realised in terms of sustainable economic development with the appropriate encouragement.
Winners were announced at our Annual Lunch on Friday 13 May when we celebrated those who have been practical, innovative and efficient in introducing initiatives to:
- assist in the delivery and purchase of much needed new homes
- protect and enhance skills and staff resources
- lower carbon emissions within severe budget constraints
