Home building industry body Homes for Scotland today welcomed the Scottish Government's announcement that a £10 million loan fund which is designed to kick-start stalled housing projects has awarded funding to three projects. The Housebuilding Infrastructure Loan Fund offers help to home builders, unable to attract private-sector finance, to invest in the infrastructure needed to enable projects to proceed. The organisation's Director of Planning Allan Lundmark said: "With the Scottish home building industry continuing to face challenging market conditions, today’s announcement confirms the Scottish Government’s continued commitment to assisting home builders to invest in the upfront infrastructure needed to unlock development projects across the country. “This funding encourages efficient investment to support physical infrastructure which is much-needed in the current economic environment.” To access the full Scottish Government press release, click here.
