Buyers looking to take advantage of the recently launched MI New Home initiative have even more builders to choose from as Bellway Homes, Deveron Homes and Mansell Homes have now joined the new scheme, taking the current pool of participating builders to 15.

MI New Home, which is supported by the Scottish Government, enables participating lenders to offer 90-95% mortgages on homes up to £250,000 sold by participating builders.

The scheme has been designed to help overcome the difficulties caused by large deposit requirements which have effectively locked many credit-worthy buyers out of the market.
